While important historical events occur in many years, the key years of 1817, 1867, 1878, 1897, 1898, 1917, 1918, 1947, 1948, 1978, 1998, 2017, and 2018 stand out above the rest. These years of significance have become mountain peaks in the history of modern Israel. The intervals between these key years form curious, overlapping patterns that in themselves are consequential.
